ADCO and Ammoman

I ordered 10 boxes of 9mm from Ammoman on Sunday and it arrived today, Thursday. Shipping on the ammo? Freebie! How’s that for service.
Couple folks have told me that ammoman can be an ass if you have problems or issues.
But steve at ADCO is top notch.
Steve is a heck of a guy. I’d bought a bunch of stuff some years back and I don’t know why but I stopped shopping his site. You reminded me when I needed the magblock. I’d ordered it with a bunch of other stuff and it ended up backordered. I cancelled that item and ordered it from Steve and the magblock arrived before the other order.
I’ve only bought from Ammoman a couple times, no problems yet. I like AIM and Midway for ammo too but sometimes Ammoman has the deals, + free shipping. Any other suggestions?
CTD, Cabelas and Cascade Ammo have all come thru for me in the past, with Cascade being a good source for hard to find calibers or loadings.
I’ve ordered twice from Ammoman, and have had no problems. Although, the boxes did look a little beat up when they arrived. Could very well by UPS’s poor handling though.
Ammoman has the best prices on certain ammo, and high prices on other ammo. It really just all depends. Ammoman also has certain ammo that is hard to find elsewhere, which is a plus.
But let’s be honest about the shipping. It isn’t “free”. It’s priced into the ammo. To be sure, if you walked into your local gun shop, you would probably refuse to pay Ammoman prices from that local dealer. That’s because, again, Ammoman has a mark-up to pay for the shipping cost. And I’m not really complaining about this…it’s just a pet peeve of mine when someone claims “free” shipping but then raises their prices to account for that “free” shipping. It’s basically just a marketing gimmick.
I ORDERED SOME 9MM FROM AMMOMAN AND IT NEVER SHOWED UP. UPS APPROVED A CLAIM FOR THE MISSING PACKAGE SO THAT HE COULD REPLACE THE ORDER OR REFUND ME. SO FAR HE HAS DONE NEITHER. WHEN I CALLED HIM ABOUT IT HE WAS MUCH MORE THAN JUST AN ASS. HE TOLD ME HE DID NOT HAVE TIME TO TALK TO ME ABOUT IT AND HUNG UP ON ME
I send Ammoman an email asking him when some of the out os stock order will be comming in and still waiting for a reply….
