Ebola Scare?

A woman on a Virgin Atlantic flight from Africa became ill and later died in London leading to fears that she may have died from the Ebola virus.

The unnamed woman is understood to work at an embassy in the African kingdom of Lesotho.

Before boarding a Virgin Atlantic flight from Johannesburg to Heathrow she visited a doctor complaining of flu-like symptoms.

She was allowed to fly, but during Flight VS602 to the UK she suffered a violent fit which left her unconscious.

… towards the end of the flight she began to vomiting.
[snip]
Her symptoms matched those of the viral haemorraghing fever, ebola. The results of a post mortem are awaited.

Ebola is not scary because it is so deadly. It usually kills off its host before said host can infect somebody else. For that reason it is very overrated on the “scare the crap out of me” scale.

    Smallpox? Scary.
    Bubonic Plauge? Scary.
    Ebola? Not so scary.
Common cold? Haven’t had one in decades.
Hillary Clinton? So scary I crapped myself typing her name.

I think that what is scary about Ebola and Hillary Clinton are that the victim bleeds out through all the obvious orifices as well as a few less obvious. ;)
