Jammies Jammed
Published by Ninth Stage April 22nd, 2007 in Blog Stuff, Media, Only Ones Professional Enough, Stupid Bloggers.I’m not sure why I dislike Pajamas Media so much. Sure, I find the name too precious and the shenanigans around it’s origins were tawdry, but that doesn’t explain the depth of my distaste. Fortunately, using Adblock, I never see any of Pajama’s ads and I’m only reminded of their existence from links at Instapundit and there I’ve learned to check before clicking so I rarely even see a Pajama Media story.
Anyway I did stumble on this Pajamas Media story: “killer got ammo clips” (meaning magazines.) A perfect example of how, by bypassing the distributed strength of the blogosphere and aggregating a few bloggers as experts in everything, you can produce mainstream media quality work. At least it’s [ad-] free (and why I read it less than I read MSM outlets.)

Heh. I’ve noticed that, too. They seem hell-bent on replacing the MSM with…another MSM.
They should have included a real gunblogger on their “team” and run every gun-related post by him before it was posted. But since we don’t spend all our time harping on Islamism and Rosie O, we aren’t real bloggers.
I think it’s the anti-authoritarian in us that makes us a poor fit.
